Dashboard

The dashboard is the home page of the app. It shows every portfolio you track as a card, grouped by category (Savings, Deposits & Bonds, Brokerage, Crypto, Properties, Cash, Pension, Other Assets, or your own custom categories), plus a Net worth card that sums everything in a currency of your choice. From here you create, organize, import and compare portfolios.

Reading a portfolio card

Each card shows the portfolio's current value, its ROI, and up to two return badges:

  • XIRR/yr — the annualized money-weighted return, computed from your actual cash flows. Shown for every category.
  • TWR/yr — the annualized time-weighted return, shown only for holdings-backed portfolios (brokerage, crypto, fund pensions) where daily prices exist. It is measured day by day, so your own deposits, withdrawals and trading do not distort it — only the investments' performance shows through. When the portfolio is younger than a year, the badge shows the cumulative TWR instead.

Hover the "?" icon next to a badge for an explanation of the metric. The Net worth card carries a pooled XIRR/yr badge in your selected net-worth currency.

The dashboard has two view modes: Simplified (compact cards) and Holdings (cards expand with per-position detail for holdings portfolios).

Creating a portfolio

Click + New Portfolio inside a category group. The category is decided by where you click — you can move a portfolio to another category later. What the creation form asks for depends on the category:

  • Brokerage / Crypto — just a name and currency. You add assets and transactions afterwards on the portfolio's Holdings section, or import a broker statement.
  • Savings — name, opening date and initial amount create a plain account. Optionally click Add account history to reconstruct the past, either as a historical schedule (rows of monthly contribution + interest rate that apply between dates) or as manual entries with forward income settings.
  • Cash — name, currency, opening date and opening balance. Optionally add a historical contribution schedule. Cash never earns interest; you add contributions and withdrawals over time.
  • Deposits & Bonds — name and currency create an empty portfolio. Optionally add history: a schedule that opens one fixed-term deposit per month, or manual rows where each row is one deposit (with term, rate, renewal and capitalization options).
  • Properties — purchase value and date, current market value, and optional rent configurations. Rent entries are backfilled monthly up to today.
  • Pension — pick a valuation model at creation (it cannot be changed later): Fund (holdings-backed, like a brokerage), Fixed income (a transfer value plus a fixed monthly income), or Manual value (you update the value yourself).
  • Other Assets — for anything without a market ticker: physical gold, collectibles, vehicles, private stakes. Pick Tracked value (a value history you update over time — the default) or Income-producing (the same value history plus a fixed monthly income, e.g. royalties or rented-out equipment). The choice cannot be changed later.

Every creation form also offers up to five goals (see the Goals guide).

Managing portfolios

From a card's actions menu you can:

  • Rename or Delete a portfolio. Select multiple cards to bulk-delete.
  • Move category — reassign the portfolio to another category, or create a new custom category.
  • Clone — duplicate a portfolio.
  • Merge — combine several portfolios into a read-only merged view.
  • Compare — view two portfolios (or a portfolio vs your net worth) side by side in a common currency.
  • Goals and Income settings — manage targets and how monthly income is calculated.
  • See in future — project the portfolio forward (see the Planning & projections guide).

Cards can be reordered by dragging.

For property portfolios the menu also offers Set market value (a date + value history editor), Rent history, and Sell property. Other Assets portfolios get a Sell item in the same menu.

Savings, Deposits & Bonds, Lending and Cash portfolios get Close instead of Sell. Closing returns the balance as a withdrawal and stops the portfolio running — no gain is recorded, because the interest you earned is already part of the balance. See the Portfolio detail guide for what it does per category.

Archived portfolios

Every card menu has Archive, which moves the portfolio into a collapsed Archived section at the bottom of the dashboard. Nothing is deleted, and Restore brings it back.

Deleting a portfolio happens from the Archived section. A live portfolio's menu offers Archive, not Delete — archive it first, then use Delete on the archived card to remove it permanently. That way removing something from your dashboard never destroys its history by accident, and deleting is always a deliberate second step. The same applies when you select several portfolios at once: the toolbar offers Archive, and only shows Delete once every portfolio you have selected is already archived.

Closing or selling a portfolio archives it automatically, so a finished account leaves your dashboard instead of sitting there at zero. You can also archive any portfolio yourself — that is the only way to retire a brokerage, crypto or pension portfolio, since those cannot be closed or sold.

Archived portfolios are left out of your net worth, allocation and projections, but they stay in your income calendar and can still be compared against live portfolios. If a portfolio still holds money when you archive it, we warn you first, because your net worth will drop by that amount. Adding an entry or import to an archived portfolio brings it back automatically.

Importing and exporting

The dashboard's import menu accepts broker statements (Trading 212, XTB and others), files exported from this app, and custom rule-set imports for any other format. You can also export one or all portfolios to CSV or Excel. See the Importing & exporting data guide.

Plan limits

The number of portfolios you can keep depends on your subscription: Free allows 2 portfolios and up to 3 years of portfolio history, Plus allows 8 portfolios with unlimited history, and Pro is unlimited.

Archived portfolios do not count toward that limit, so closing an account frees a slot rather than using one up permanently. They do count toward a larger total that includes your archived history — twice the active limit, so 4 on Free and 16 on Plus. If you reach it, delete an archived portfolio or upgrade. See Plans & Billing in the account menu for details.

Trying the app with sample data

If you have no portfolios yet, the dashboard shows a welcome panel with sample portfolios: a brokerage account with two years of activity, a deposits portfolio with auto-renewing deposits, a rental property, and a combined net-worth view. They are read-only, live only in your browser, and never count toward your plan limits — open them to explore every feature before adding your own data.
